[Definition of Berkeley: Loyal, Gentle, Smart, Adapting, Snugly]…Just to name a few.
I rescued her at 10 weeks old and she lived a long life of 14 years. She captured my heart the moment I laid eyes on her, huddled in corner of a run-down building in West Virginia (Berkeley County). I knew at that moment that she would be road tripping it back to Wisconsin with me. I was only 19 at the time and she definitely changed my life! My heart was forever captured. She lived every new place with me and met each change with enthusiasm. She met my husband with me and was devoted to our children the second we brought them home. She slept outside my daughter’s door every night, and would switch between doors when my son was born. I love ALL my dogs but Berkeley will always hold a special place in my heart. I know we will meet again someday, so until then I will honor and celebrate her life through…Berkeley’s Run.
